Publication: Electrochemical Analysis of Carbon-Based Supercapacitors Using Finite Element Modeling and Impedance Spectroscopy

DigiCell is excited to share the news about our most recent publication, prepared in a joint effort with partners from the EMPHASIS consortium.

In this study, we investigate the electrochemical performance of carbon-based electrodes with ionic liquid electrolytes, employing calibrated impedance spectroscopy and FEM modelling. Our findings compare activated carbon electrodes with advanced graphene electrodes, revealing how electrode structure influences ion transport mechanisms. These insights contribute to optimizing supercapacitor electrode materials and advancing next-generation energy storage technologies.
