CWA on Materials characterization – Terminology and structured documentation published
After months of intensive work, the CEN-CENELEC Workshop agreement (CWA) on “Materials characterization - Terminology and structured documentation” has been published!
Starting with a call for participation in April 2024, key partners in the field of standardisation for materials characterization came together for a workshop to develop an updated version of the CWA 17815:2021. DigiCell partners Università degli Studi Roma Tre as well as Keysight Technologies GmbH and IRES have been involved in the process from the early days and have, together with a team of dedicated materials and data experts, agreed upon a standardized framework for documentation of Characterisation Data (so-called CHADA). The new CWA 17815:2025 was published in December 2024.
DigiCell fully subscribes to the idea that a standardised terminology and structured documentation foster exchange in the area of materials characterisation. Focussing on developing and implementing consistent standards, the project empowers the reliable design of new, high-quality materials and processes for battery cell and pack production.
