Terms of Use

  • Ownership: All uploaded datasets remain the property of the parties generating and uploading the datasets. No change of ownership is implied and no property rights are transferred.
  • Users of content (“Users”) shall respect applicable license conditions. Download and use of datasets from the DigiCell Open Innovation Environment (hereinafter “OIE”) does not transfer any intellectual property rights (copyrights) to the User.
  • Use and re-use of content: Use and re-use is subject to the license under which the content was deposited. Unless otherwise specified, datasets are accessible under CC-BY, Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licensing conditions. This license is one of the open Creative Commons licenses and allows users to share and adapt the OIE datasets as long as users give credit to the authors of datasets.
  • Users are exclusively responsible for their use of OIE datasets, and shall indemnify and hold the DigiCell consortium free and harmless in connection with their download and/or use. Hosting and making content available through the DigiCell OIE do not represent any approval or endorsement of such datasets by the European Commission, the funding authority supporting the DigiCell project.
  • The DigiCell consortium reserves the right, without notice, at its sole discretion and without liability to restrict or remove User access where it considers that use of the DigiCell OIE interferes with its operations or violates these Terms of Use or applicable laws.
  • These Terms of Use are subject to change by the DigiCell consortium at any time and without notice, other than through posting the updated Terms of Use on the DigiCell website.
  • Retention period: Items will be retained for the lifetime of the repository. Currently, this is up to five years after the end of the project.
  • File preservation: Content is backed up nightly and replicated into multiple copies in the online system.
  • Authenticity: All content stored will be checked regularly to assure that the file content remains constant.
  • Datasets provided by the OIE are generated with public money (i.e. EU funding received under Horizon Europe GA no. 101135486). It is therefore important to the DigiCell consortium to know if and how content has been used. The User therefore agrees to inform the DigiCell consortium about any publication generated by using the content provided by the OIE under the following e-mail address: OIE@digicell-project.eu.
  • If publications ensue with the use of the content provided by the OIE, the User agrees to recognise the authorship of the data provision by referring to the DigiCell project and Grant Agreement no. 101135486.
